2018 MISS PHILADELPHIA’S OUTSTANDING TEEN PAGEANT

 

AIMEE TURNER CROWNED MISS PHILADELPHIA 2018

PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 23, 2019 – 20-year-old Alysa Bainbridge of Leesport, PA, was crowned Miss Philadelphia 2019 Saturday night at the Venice Island Performing Arts Theater in Manayunk.

For her talent, Bainbridge performed a lyrical dance. She plans to pursue a career in Broadcast Journalism. Bainbridge’s platform is extremely personal to her. In January 2018, she lost her 24-year-old brother to an opioid addiction. She has since made it her mission to end the stigma surrounding mental illness with her social media movement, #MoreThanBipolar.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 13, 2019– The Miss Philadelphia Scholarship Organization will crown our 2019 Miss Philadelphia and Miss Philadelphia’s

Outstanding Teen at our annual competition on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center in Manayunk.

Each candidate will compete in the following phases of competition: private interview with a panel of judges, talent, evening wear and on-stage question.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, (January 16, 2019) – The Miss Philadelphia Organization is proud to announce that Cabrini University, located in Radnor, PA, will be providing full tuition scholarship opportunities for the winners of the Miss Philadelphia and Miss Philadelphia’s Outstanding Teen competitions.

In addition to other prizes and sponsorships, Miss Philadelphia 2019 will receive the option to attend Cabrini University with a full tuition scholarship for her undergraduate degree and/or graduate degree program. Miss Philadelphia’s Outstanding Teen 2019 will receive full tuition for a four-year undergraduate degree.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Mar. 5, 2018) – The Miss Philadelphia Organization announced today that the 2018 Miss Philadelphia’s Outstanding Teen Competition will take place on Saturday, March 31 at the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School auditorium. The competition will be begin at 5:00 pm, and tickets are $15 at the door.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Feb. 24, 2018) – 22-year-old Aimee Turner was crowned Miss Philadelphia 2018 tonight at Drexel University’s Mandell Theater, receiving a $4,000 scholarship along with the crown and title. Turner winning Miss Philadelphia is just the beginning of a year-long journey as an ambassador for Philadelphia, as she will be making over 100 appearances on behalf of the city and charitable organizations. She will embark on her city-wide speaking tour, advocating for her platform “Success Through STEM”, and the national platform partner of the Miss America Organization Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). CMNH is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for its 170 member hospitals.

MISS PHILADELPHIA 2018 COMPETITION SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY

PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 27, 2018– The Miss Philadelphia Organization announces that the 2018 Miss Philadelphia Competition will take place on February 24, 2018, 6:30 pm at Drexel University’s Mandell Theater. Tickets are available at the door for $25 each.

Philadelphia, Penn., (December 9, 2017) – The Miss Philadelphia Scholarship Organization (MPSO), a local preliminary to the Miss Pennsylvania and Miss America pageants, is proud to announce Mr. Bobbey Biddle as the new Executive Director, effective immediately. A Delaware native and current Philadelphia resident, Bobbey brings with him an extensive background of volunteerism and leadership within the Miss America pageant system.
